The CIRCUL KC provides several resources to senior citizens, from clothing to medical care and even caregiver relief.  We also provide information for local support organizations as well. 

Granparents Closet

Seniors can receive FREE items, to learn visit the Grandparent Closet page.

SMall Groups

We offer several different senior groups from educational classes to meeting new people. Classes are held in Raytown and are either FREE or low cost. Visit our Senior Education page to lean more.

Volunteer OppORTUNITIES

We always need seniors in volunteer programs. We have several different programs that may interest you, from just volunteering a few hours to educating our enrichment students. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, visit our volunteer page.

Senior Living FaCILITy resources

Our main focus at CIRCUL KC is seniors in our care facilities. We have many resources available to enirch their lives and give them compaionship when they need it. Facilities can contact us to set up activities that our youth volunteers host, from bingo to painting. We provided all the supplies! Maybe youre seniors are in need of items, we can bring Grandparents closet you! WE cant forget about our not forgotten progret, there may be a few senirs who just need a little extra campassion or compaionship, our volunteers can bring a little joy into their lives. We also have yearly events where we are always looking for facilities to host us, like our Cards for Seniors, Socks for Veterans and many many more special events we would lovve to shower on your seniors. Resouces outside of Circul Kc

Phone & Internet

There are multiple government assistance programs designed to help low-income individuals. Seniors who qualify can score free or discounted phones, internet service, and computers.
If you think you may qualify for an assistance program, options include:

Medicare

 If you have worked and paid Medicare taxes long enough, hospital insurance, otherwise known as Medicare Part A, is free for most people who are age 65 and older. For reference, Medicare Part A helps pay for:
  • Inpatient hospital care
  • Care in a skilled nursing facility
  • Nursing home care (inpatient care in a skilled nursing facility that is not custodial or long-term care)
  • Hospice care
  • Home health care
If you aren’t sure if Medicare Part A will cover certain expenses, Medicare offers a coverage search bar tool that can help identify tests, items, and other services that are covered.

Rayton Helps Program

The Raytown H.E.L.P.S program is creating opportunities for patients to improve their health , wellbeing, and safety in daily living. The program offers
  • Assisting in clinical care coordination and case management between patients and their provider
  • Helping with medication inventory and compliance
  • Connection to community resources
  • Homes safety checks including fall risks
  • Needed medical equipment and so much more.
