"No Senior is Forgotten" That is our motto. Focus on the Family did an article on America’s Elderly: The Forgotten Generation
They shed light on how our seniors are being forgotten, how seniors in care facilities never have visitors. It's not just seniors in care facilities, seniors who live at home battle with this as well, never having visitors. This can take a toll on their mental and emotional health, seniors may become depressed, angry and even contemplate ending their lives. Our Mission is that " NO SENIOR IS FORGOTTEN" We do this in several ways:
How it works: we are looking for seniors in care centers or living at home who may be lonely, not get a lot of visitors or just need a little kindness in their lives. Our youth volunteers will send them handwritten letters. Seniors in the greater Kansas City area may opt in for special visits by our volunteers. You can't image the impact these small gestures make their lives and not just in the seniors' lives but volunteers. Our volunteers feel the impact in a different way, they see the loneliness turn into joy, the sadness turned into smiles and the hurt fade away. This lights a fire in our youth, a fire of selflessness, a drive to keep on making a difference and impacting those around them. |

2) In-Kind Donations: donate cards for every occasion; birthdays, anniversary's, holidays, etc.
3) Monetary Donations: with rising cost of postage, gas and among other things, we desperately need your help to fund our project. Jut $5 can help our project in a huge way!
