In-Kind/Item Donations
It's hard to say "no thank you" to a donation when those donations help to so many in need. However, we some items we cannot except for being hazardous materials or the cost to transport, repair or refurbish is too great a cost. We accept a variety of items, please make sure all donations meet the following requirements prior to donating.
We accept a variety of items, below you will find flyers of everything we are currently collecting. Please make sure all donations meet the following requirements prior to donating.
- All items must be free of debris, mold, mildew, rips, tears, fraying, rust and odors.
- All wearable items, blankets, bedding, any fabric type items must be washed and dried. Please use trash bags to transport items. However, we are always in need of totes with lids, we will gladly appreciate those if you have them.
- Undergarments must be in like new condition
- Make-up and personal items must be unused.
- We do not take household chemical products such as pesticides, paint, paint thinner, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, aerosols, and other environmentally unfriendly waste products.
- We do take cribs, car seats, walkers and other products as long as they meet the current safety standards of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, including recalled items.
- Automotive hazardous waste such as tires, lead-acid batteries, additives, gasoline, oils, antifreeze, etc.
- Household items: We do not take appliances or furniture, home decor or
- Medical equipment must be in working condition or easily fixable. Example: we can repair breaks on walkers but not a leg. Equipment must be for Senior Care. Examples of acceptable medical equipment is listed below in the flyers.
- Animal items; we take any kind of pet food, supplies, equipment such as kennels and among other things. We will gladly accept stuffed animals as long as they do not have hard eyes attached (plastic or glass).
- Craft/School/Office supplies: We take a variety of educational items, from pencil boxes to used curriculum. We take all kinds of craft supplies, our seniors love sewing and knitting. Our youth volunteers also provide activities at local nursing home, so any craft items are always welcomed.
